Dessert Care
Cakes:
Storage and Transportation:
Please remember that we are not responsible for desserts once they leave the Kitchen and into your hands. Cakes should always be placed on car floors(not seats!) and with AC blasting the entire way home, then directly into the fridge. All cakes should be stored in the refrigerator when not eaten or displayed at events. Do not leave your cake in your car for longer than the drive back home or to the event and make sure it goes back into the fridge right away. Please make sure that the cake stays in the box while in the fridge. Most cakes can be left out to display for up to a day at room temperature unless filled with fresh fruit or whipped cream fillings. Cakes filled with perishable fillings must be kept in the fridge as long as possible and can be left at room temperature for two hours MAXIMUM. Cold hard cake is not fun to eat or cut into, always allow refrigerated cakes to sit for at least 30 minutes to thaw at room temperature before cutting and serving for the best taste! Rosechu is not responsible for any damages after the cake is picked up and handed to the client.
How to Store Leftover Cake?
Leftover cake slices should be wrapped with saran wrap and covered until the next tasting! Please remember that as more days go by, the drier your cake will be, even when wrapped as the cake’s moisture will always be leaving as time goes by. Follow the same steps as the storage notes for storing leftover cake after covering your leftover cake.
How Long Will My Cake Last?
When ordering, please note that Rosechu is currently only available for pickups/ delivery on Saturday mornings. We work on a weekly routine and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. All desserts can last in the fridge for up to 5 days (3 days maximum for fruit-filled desserts). But for any event later than 5 days, it is recommended to be frozen until the day before the event. In these cases, please allow your cake to thaw in the fridge the day before your event.
Buttercream cakes with no fruit or whipped cakes will last up to 5 days if stored properly. Please view the notes above for more info on storage. Buttercream cakes with fruit will last up to 3 days MAXIMUM. Sponge cakes with whipped cream and fresh fruit will last only 3 days MAXIMUM.
Inedible Pieces:
Cua will always notify you if there are non-edible pieces on your cake. This may include cake toppers, plastic figurines, discussed special notes, etc. All tiered cakes have sharp dowels, straws, and extra cake boards in the center of the cake for support. Please be careful of this when serving the cake and notify others with a warning. i.e. NO face smashing. Doing so could cause major injury.
Macarons:
Storage:
All macarons should be stored in the refrigerator when not being eaten or displayed at events. Please make sure that the macarons that are not being eaten for long periods of time (over a day) stay in an airtight container for the best taste. Macarons absorb smell, so macarons left by a smelly dish will taste like the smelly dish if not stored properly. Most macarons can be left out to display for up to a day at room temperature unless filled with fresh fruit fillings (fresh fillings are noted on macaron menu). Macarons filled with perishable fillings must be kept in the fridge as long as possible and can be left at room temperature for two hours MAXIMUM. Cold hard macarons are not fun to bite into, always allow refrigerated macarons to sit for at least 15 minutes to thaw at room temperature before serving for the best taste!
Leftover Macarons:
Please refer to note above for info on how to store macarons. Macarons will remain fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days but are recommended to be eaten in the span of 3 days. Macarons with fresh fruit fillings (fresh fillings are noted on macaron menu) must be eaten within 2 days of pickup date.
